* So, You Want to Be An Animal Keeper?? and ?Modern Conservationist? on the agenda for this summer season. This camp will fill up fast, so reserve your "spots" now!, Big Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in our 16th year of operation. Our dual mission is to provide a permanent home for rescued exotic (i.e. wild, not domestic) cats that have been abused or abandoned, and to educate the public about these animals and the issues they face in captivity and in the wild. Our sanctuary is a permanent home to more than 130 lions, tigers, leopards, bobcats and other species of wild cats. This unique Tampa facility is the only wildcat sanctuary in Florida meeting national standards for accreditation, and is one of the largest of its kind in the world.
