Camp GEOG

Camp GEOG is an innovative GIS summer camp held at the University at Albany. The camp is held over the course of one week and is designed to introduce middle school girls to the exciting careers available in the field of geography. The girls learn how to:

* Orienteer with handheld compasses

* Solve problems with Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

* Discover locations using Global Positioning Systems (GPS) Units

* Create topographic maps
