CNSE CMOST Science Crew

Science Crew is an afterschool program. Students in grades two through five are introduced to a variety of science and engineering concepts in this hour-long, weekly program. Science Crew currently operates in five sites around the Capital Region, four public schools and a library.

Students enrolled in the program will engage in hands-on activities in the following areas:

    Engineering,

Simple Machines, Engineering Design Process, Engineering Process in Transportation, Assembly Lines, Bridges,

    Chemistry,

States of Matter, Density, Chromatography, Polymers, pH, Chemical Reactions,

    Magnetism,

Magnetic Poles, Levitating Trains,

    Nanotechnology,

Size and Scale, Magic Sand, Human Code - DNA
